Shree Aadya Durga Bio-Solutions Private Limited is an emerging biotechnology startup situated at the Centre for Innovation and Incubation, National Institute of Technology Warangal, and is supported by National Institute of Technology Warangal.
The startup is funded under the MeitY GENESIS initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The company is particularly focused on the production of value-added products such as natural pigments, sugar alcohols, organic acids, and industrial enzymes using crude renewable substrates including water hyacinth, Napier grass, sugarcane bagasse, and crude glycerol.
By utilizing low-cost and underutilized biomass resources, the startup seeks to promote sustainable industrial biotechnology and circular bioeconomy practices.
India currently faces major challenges related to dependence on imported organic acids and industrial enzymes, along with increasing environmental concerns caused by agricultural and food waste accumulation. Conventional biochemical production processes are often expensive, fossil-fuel dependent, and environmentally intensive. Shree Aadya Durga Biosolutions aims to address these challenges by utilizing renewable waste resources as low-cost feedstocks for biochemical production.

OneStop Biorefining Solutions is an early-stage biotechnology startup focused on developing sustainable bioprocesses that convert agricultural waste into high-value products. The venture works at the intersection of industrial biotechnology, circular bioeconomy, and sustainable manufacturing. The company is developing a microbial biorefinery platform that utilizes low-cost agro-industrial residues as feedstocks for fermentation-based production.
The current focus is on the development of natural microbial melanin, a bio-based pigment with potential applications in cosmetics and UV-protective formulations. By transforming underutilized agricultural residues into commercially relevant biomaterials, OneStop Biorefining Solutions aims to contribute to environmentally responsible production systems while supporting resource efficiency and waste valorization.
Currently at the prototype development stage, the team has successfully isolated and preliminarily characterized a melanin-producing microorganism and established an initial extraction process for pigment recovery. Ongoing work is focused on process optimization, fermentation scale-up, and evaluation of techno-economic feasibility to support future commercialization.
The startup is committed to advancing alternatives to conventional synthetic and animal-derived products through innovative microbial technologies.
